I’m more than happy to report that Portland Quantified Self crew is starting to gather more steam. And given its appropriately geeky and open sourcey bent, I see no signs of that subsiding. Which honestly? Is a good thing.
What’s quantified self you ask?
Quantified Self is a collaboration of users and tool makers who share an interest in self knowledge through self-tracking.
Self-tracking covers a wide spectrum. Some are working to improve their health and fitness by tracking weight, exercise, sleep, or nutrition. Others want to gain insight into their emotions. Still others aim to improve their productivity and effectiveness by measuring how they spend their time.
I know, right?
Amber is a cyborg anthropologist studying the interaction between humans and technology, and the founder of Geoloqi (geo-low-key), Inc. — our venue host for the evening.
Todd is the founder and CEO of Vizify, another Portland startup. Best way to see his bio is on the Vizify site.
You won’t want to miss this one.
To RSVP, visit Portland Quantified Self on Meetup. The event begins at 6PM Wednesday, August 15. It will be hosted at Geoloqi HQ.
