Continuing its expansion, Portland’s Urban Airship has now opened a London office. Cofounder MT Richardson has relocated to London to help with the effort. And they’ve already brought on some big name to help stand up the new “premises.”
According to the press release:
Urban Airship, the global leader in mobile push messaging to build relationships with connected consumers, today announced the opening of its London office and the appointment of Nigel Arthur, as managing director of Urban Airship UK. Nestled in the creative and tech magnet building The Hospital Club in the Covent Garden area of London, Urban Airship UK will begin to rapidly build its team and expand the company’s international customer base, which already accounts for 20 percent of Urban Airship’s revenue.
Nigel Arthur is a 20-year digital marketing software sales and services expert, who previously was the managing director of UK operations at ExactTarget — a key Urban Airship partner. He has served in European sales leadership roles for Premiere Global Services, Responsys and WebTrends, spending the last eight years driving customers’ online marketing success through the effective use of software and services.
No word on when they’re flying us all over for Lunch 2.0.
