A few years back, we used to have a great group called Portland Web Innovators. It served as a monthly gathering of folks working in the tech scene. Time wore on and the group leaders got busy and it basically trailed off. But one component of that formative group is coming back—a quarterly event to feature early stage prototypes called Demolicious.
And Demolicious organizer Adam DuVander is taking it to a whole new level.
Demolicious is coming back to Portland to show off the best projects in the web and mobile tech community. I’m excited to shine a well-deserved spotlight on the cool new apps, services and companies in our town on the stage of NW Portland’s Mission Theater.
Previous presenters have gone on to take investment and become much bigger companies than the humble Demolicious beginnings. Thanks to PIE, Upstart Labs and Portland Seed Fund for joining as anchor sponsors of this event to help create some more success stories. Today’s five minute demo may be tomorrow’s funded startup.
