Fo shizzle: Chirpify adds Snoop Dogg… err Lion and $2 million in Series A

That crew at Chirpify just keeps rolling. In addition to a growing “A list” of celebrities using the platform—Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne are among the latest—they’ve convinced Voyager Capital to double down, raising a $2 million series A round.

And it happened 364 days after Voyager’s last bet on Chirpify.

Why the follow on? Well, Erik Benson of Voyager mentions that “Chirpify has proven their ability to execute on building product and technology that scales” and that they’ve got a few things under development that are keeping Voyager very bullish on the opportunity.

Founder Chris Teso echoed these sentiments to The Next Web:

Now that we have built a robust engine that enables in-stream commerce on the top three social media platforms, have acquired top tier brands, celebrities and musicians, powered hundreds of thousands of dollars in transactions, and are seeing rapid consumer adoption, it’s time to accelerate our growth and continue to re-invent the way businesses and consumers transact and monetize social media.

Whatever the case, it’s nice to see Upstart Labs alum Chirpify continuing to roll.

  1. Kick ass Chris and team!
