From the producers of Portland Lunch 2.0 comes Portland Beer 2.0

So it dawned on us. Portland Lunch 2.0 is nice, but we could use more networking opportunities. What, we thought, would happen if we combined tech type entrepreneurs with craft brewing entrepreneurs and came up with a happy hour event? Would that be worthwhile? Well, we’re giving it a shot. Introducing Portland Beer 2.0.

Like Portland Lunch 2.0, Portland Beer 2.0 is designed to bring a diverse community of Portland folks together. Only with Beer 2.0, you’ll be sharing a beverage instead of a meal. And you’ll have the opportunity to meet up with folks in the evening instead of trying to carve out time during the day.

Diff’rent strokes for different folks. Whatchu talkin’ about, Willis?

Ahem.

Plus. It’s much easier to chat while you’re sipping a beverage instead of shoving food in your face.

Well, and by partnering with awesome craft brewers, startups have the opportunity to brew namesake beverages for the event. That’s right. A brew specifically created by your startup for the Portland startup scene. How cool is that?

Who knows? If people like it, you may even see it on draught at Bailey’s or the Green Dragon.

But I digress.

The other rules still apply. The event is hosted by startups and startup organizations around town. And it’s designed to be low impact networking. No agenda. No speeches. Just time to hang out with some of your awesome peers in Portland.

The first event will take place Thursday, July 11—seven-eleven—at CrowdCompass. Future events take place at Glider, Jive (bonus: rooftop deck), Elemental, and CPUsage.

We’d love to have you join. So please sign up for the Portland Beer 2.0 Meetup group. Interested in hosting? Well throw your proverbial hat in the Portland Beer 2.0 ring. Or glass. Or whatever.

And there are still opportunities to host Portland Lunch 2.0, as well. So don’t be shy about having a few people over for that event either.
