Something for everyone: Head to the PDX API Hour and/or Portland GigaOM meet up, Wednesday evening

It’s always nice to have OSCON in town. And it seems to cause local folks to get a little more social. So you’ve got two great techie opportunities for your Wednesday evening: PDX API Hour and the Portland GigaOM meet up.

Interested in more of a developer crowd? Then you’ll want to hit the PDX API Hour, which is sponsored by folks like Mashery, Send Grid, Twilio, Esri, Programmable Web, Tokbox, and Urban Airship.

In town for OSCON? Take timeout to meetup with fellow hackers over drinks at Dig a Pony – a 15 minute walk straight down MLK, or a 5 minute streetcar/bus ride.

API Hour lasts from 6-8:00pm.

More a content type? Well then we’ve got something for you too, the GigaOM meet up.

Please join GigaOM for a networking reception at Irving St. Kitchen from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday, July 24th.

We are hosting an evening for technologists, customers and thought leaders in the Portland area to connect and discuss the opportunities and emerging trends in technology and business today.

GigaOM executives, writers, analysts and senior staff will be there along with local Portland influencers for a night of great conversation and food and wine.

Torn? Well, you know what? I’m confident that you can probably squeeze both of them into your Wednesday evening.

For more information or to RSVP, visit PDX API Hour and the Portland GigaOM meet up, respectively.
