New resources for Eugene startups

In many ways, Eugene is way ahead of the Portland startup scene—especially when it comes to the tightly knit gaming community. In other ways, Portland has taken the lead with some concepts. Whatever the case, it’s always nice to have a comparable community to gauge progress and share ideas. That’s why I’m psyched to share these new resources for the Eugene community.

Bitforest

This site is home to the Eugene Area Game Developers, and intends to connect the various talented individuals of our community with events, discussions, and project galleries. It’s also intended to give newcomers and onlookers a better idea of the stuff happening in our community.

Eugene Tech Switchboard

Like other Switchboards, Eugene Tech Switchboard is designed to help strengthen community connections through asks and offers. I’ve been impressed with the traction this Switchboard has established already, with nearly 100 folks participating.

Silicon Shire

Okay. This one has been around a while, but it’s always worth mentioning. Interested to see who is building what in Eugene? This is a great resource for getting a lay of the land.
