While the team, the execution, and the initial idea are important, the success or failure of most startups comes down to one thing: timing. Forcing something at the wrong time is almost worse than not doing it at all. And that’s why I’m happy to see the Startup Weekend Vancouver (Washington) team adjusting their timing.
We want the first Startup Weekend Vancouver weekend to be a smashing success; unfortunately, we have not been able to reach enough people to make the event successful this coming weekend.
We believe in being good stewards of the money pledged, so we are postponing the event until later this year or early in 2016. All registrants fees and sponsor donations are being returned pending a future date.
