For many startups, “changing the world” has very little to do with “getting rich quick.” But those messages are often lost in our unicorn chasing startup existence. That’s why it’s great to see events like the PSU Elevating Impact Summit highlighting those founders who are using their entrepreneurial drive to champion efforts with social impact.
The full day program includes a social innovation pitch fest; candid keynotes with renowned social entrepreneurs; diverse perspectives on funding for social impact; how an intrapreneurial company is partnering with employers to lower national recidivism; a look at the power of zip codes vs. genetic codes in lifelong health, and an exploration of the often untold risks, failures, and first steps to creating social change.
The event will be held Friday, February 5, during Portland Startup Week. Cost is $100 pre-order, $125 at the door, and $20 for students.
