Need help navigating the Portland startup community? Rosie, our friendly AI concierge, hangs out on Slack now

I know. Trust me. I know. For as friendly and welcoming as the Portland startup community can be, it can also be infuriatingly difficult to navigate. Who are you supposed to talk to? What events are you supposed to attend? Who is investing in Portland startups? That’s why I started Silicon Florist. That’s why I started PIE. That’s why I helped start Built Oregon. That’s why I started Portland Startups Slack. And that’s why — when WiseOx kindly approached me with an opportunity — I started Rosie, the AI concierge for the Portland startup community.

But sometimes, you don’t want to navigate to a whole different place. You simply want to ping someone on Slack to get the answer that you want. And now, thanks to a new WiseOx feature, you can.

Rosie is on Portland Startups Slack.

That’s right. Just pop into the help channel and fire away. Ask questions. Dig a little deeper. Find out about events. Jump in on someone else’s thread and help them. Or, you know, delve into your existential dread. It’s all possible now.

And if you’d like to keep your conversation private, you can still talk to Rosie privately.

It’s nice to see folks taking the opportunity to talk to Rosie. And put him through his paces. I’m hoping he’ll continue learning and providing value to the Portland startup community.

If you’re interested in chatting with him:

  1. Sign up for Portland Startups Slack. (It’s open and free.)
  2. Go talk to Rosie.

Please and thank you.
