Portland-area startup and YC alum Depot raises $4.1 million Seed
Depot was a new name to me. So the news of them raising a sizable Seed Round was a surprise. (Also pleasantly surprised to see they were Y Combinator alums.) But one thing that wasn’t surprising was the their focus — which I always phrase as “engineers building tools for other engineers” — a historically strong Portland startup sweetspot. (Honestly, not sure if they’re in Beaverton (according to Crunchbase) or Portland (according to their press release)). But whatever the case, this Portland-area startup has raised a $4.1 million Seed Round, bringing their total funding to nearly $6 million.
