While I’m never one for quantity over quality, I do like to take notice when we achieve milestones. No matter how insignificant. With that in mind, I’ve been keeping an eye on the membership of our free community Slack instance for Portland startups as it edged ever closer to 7000 users.
Today, it hit the 7000 member mark.
Now granted, no where near all 7000 folks are active on the Slack. But there have been a growing number of folks engaged, as of late. And the Slack tends to have some pretty meaningful discussions on a regular basis. Plus, events like #social_beer are bringing those Slack relationships into real life to ensure that the community is getting more connected.
