I tend to be a “While that seems like a negative, it’s actually a positive…” kind of person. So where one might see a night jam packed with event choices and bemoan the scheduling conflicts, I tend to say that having a bunch of competing events from which to choose means that the community is starting to get some momentum going again. So when I glanced at Thursday, it made me extremely happy.

Granted, this only make sense if you’re in the US or another country that uses the Month/Day/Year format, but we’ll take these small weird wins where we can. This Thursday is 3/14. Or 3.14. Making it Pi Day. So whether you’re looking to gather in celebration of your favorite constant or not, there are a couple of happy hours on Thursday that may be of interest. One in Bend and one in Portland.

The Portland Startups Slack is a great way to connect with folks in the Portland startup community. Well, that’s why there’s #social_beer, the Slack channel that magically comes to life once a month in various locations around town. And the next one is now scheduled for March 14, 2024.
