Otio helps you analyze your emotional state

I always love seeing ideas resurface in the world of startups. Like Chewie being a new version of Pets.com. Or Instacart being a new version of Home Grocer. Or DoorDash being a new Kozmo. So imagine my joy when I encountered Otio. Which reminded me of a product from Cuban Council/k10k back in the day called Moodstats. Or a Portland project called Emoome.

otio is a mobile application designed to help users track and analyze their emotional states. The app provides insights into users’ emotional journeys, allowing them to understand their feelings better and recognize patterns in their emotional well-being.

Inspired by research showing that naming your feelings can ease emotional intensity (Lieberman, 2007) and by Robert Plutchik’s Emotion Wheel, otio invites you to choose from nuanced emotions, receive gentle weekly insights, view your emotional patterns on a calendar, and export your data for personal use or therapy. With a minimalist, intuitive design, otio offers a quiet space to check in and grow in emotional awareness, at your own pace.

The app is currently available on iOS.
