We’ve all been there. Suddenly a tune comes on at a location. You don’t notice it at first. But then it starts seeping into your psyche. Wait a second, you say. Is that yacht rock…? In simpler times, you would find yourself arguing with yourself — or the people around you — to actually define the song as part of that genre or not. But now, technology to the rescue. With Is it yacht rock?
You’ll be the life of any party when you authoritatively declare that the song that’s playing is genuine Yacht Rock! Is It Yacht Rock? is a one-trick pony. It listens to your music and tells you whether it qualifies as Yacht Rock based on its score on the Yachtski scale. The Yachtski scale was developed using real science by the masterminds behind the early 2000s web series Yacht Rock.
That’s it. Super simple. And standing by to help you categorize that next tune.
