Airbuild is your 2024 Demolicious Champion of Champions

The Portland startup community — as well as folks from Bend and a few other spots — packed into the McMenamins Mission Theater last night to watch eight companies take the stage. Each of those companies had one thing in common: a win at one of the monthly Demolicious events. But when the dust cleared and the crowd votes were tallied, one company was named the Champion of those champions for 2024: Airbuild.

What does Airbuild do…? I’m glad you asked. “By integrating the photosynthetic ability of microalgae with photovoltaic cells, Airbuild is enabling companies and governments to sequester carbon, generate energy, and filter wastewater onsite.”

Congrats to all of the folks who took the stage — the crowd also heard pitches from Rose City Robotics, Shotsy, Forcefield, RangerEV, Fanwagn, Dtocs, and Flat — and to the 90 startups who pitched at Demolicious throughout the year.
