Remember a few months back when we talked about that awesome skydiving at that Instrument had built for Google I/O? That one you couldn’t play? Well, get ready to be happy. You can play Map Dive in the browser now. Well, if it’s Chrome.

Need more geekiness than the game? Get ready to be even more happy. You can walk through a technical deep dive of Map Dive, explaining how they built the game.

We are super excited about our Map Dive installation in the Geo Sandbox at Google I/O 2013. Lots of people at the conference have been asking about the APIs and technology behind the experience, so our Technical Lead on the project, Ben Purdy, put together the following overview.
