Care about the Cloud? CloudCamp PDX is for you

But I’m definitely not as savvy as the folks who will be gathering to discuss Cloud computing on June 30 as part of CloudCamp PDX.

I can still remember when I first heard the term “the Cloud.” As in, we’re saving that up in the Cloud. My initial thought was “anything having to do with clouds and Portland is going to own that.”

Well, I’ve managed to get a wee bit more educated about the whole cloud thing since then. But I’m definitely not as savvy as the folks who will be gathering to discuss Cloud computing on June 30 as part of CloudCamp PDX.

CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions.

And none of those “but I’ve got work to do” excuses. This takes place in the evening from 5:30 PM until you’re done talking. Or maybe 10:00 PM or so.

What’s on the agenda? That’s a good question. The get together is unconference format, like BarCamp Portland. So the attendees—that means you—will decide who’s talking about what when. Just make it cloudy, would you?

If this sounds interesting to you, head on over to Webtrends on Tuesday evening and get your Cloud on. For more information, visit CloudCamp PDX.

Space is limited but tickets are free. So make sure to register for CloudCamp PDX on Eventbrite. What’s more, you can get a peek at the awesome attendee list there.
