When it comes to running a small business, every entrepreneur’s favorite activity is bookkeeping. I mean, am I right? Hello? Bookkeeping! YAY! No?
Yeah no. Every small business I know is constantly on the lookout for simple, straightforward, cost effective software for helping to manage the books. And there are some great solutions out there. But what if I told you one of those awesome solutions was right here in your own backyard?
That’s right. You can get awesome Web based bookkeeping and shop locally with SkyLedger from Lake Oswego based Cloudmanic Labs.
SkyLedger will change the way you look at bookkeeping and accounting forever. Our system makes it so any small to medium size business can be up and running with a fully robust accounting system in seconds. No software to install, no backups to worry about, no expensive shrink wrap software to buy.
Whoa. Sounds great but that must cost a ton, right? No sirree, Bob. Or whatever your name is. SkyLedger offers a free account so you can test drive the service. And then—if you want to ante up—you’re going to have to dig deep. Way deep. And cough up… $5. Per month.
What’s that? Forego one Burgerville shake a month and you can afford it? It’s true.
What’s more, it’s just damn pretty.
But what about all of those receipts you have sitting around in piles? Well, I have more good news for you. SkyLedger now integrates with Shoeboxed.
With Shoeboxed, you send in your receipts, business cards, invoices, etc., and it scans, enters the data and organizes items for you. You can email or snail mail items, or send in photos from your phone. Shoeboxed takes care of the rest.
When you link your SkyLedger and Shoeboxed accounts, everything you send to Shoeboxed will automatically be updated to SkyLedger (unless you chose to manage it manually), so you can focus on business, not paperwork.
Wow. Your life just got way easier.

I relish, cause I found just what I used to be taking a look for. You’ve ended my 4 day lengthy hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day. Bye
This software looks it will be proven to be very useful for when i do bookkeeping. Thanks for the post
Oh Joe. Thanks man. I’m so glad that someone got it. 😉
Awesome Tribe Called Quest reference.
A friend of mine who works freelance tried a bunch of different combinations of online accounts and expense recording. Best is apparently Keebo.com used with Xero.com, especially for the UK market. Then again, Portland may be suited to something different!
