As soon as Apple decided to add the ability to watch movies to the iPod, folks have been staring at little screens watching their favorite modern flicks and television shows. With the advent of the iPad, Netflix streaming augmented the whole mobile movie viewing experience.
And yet, something was still missing. Like those classic flicks of yesteryear and those horrible yet addictive cheesy B movies. If only you could stream those on your iPad or iPhone. Well, now you can, with Movie Vault.
Developed by Portland-based Fling Soft, Movie Vault offers all the streaming old cinema and television you can stand for less than five bucks.
Movie Vault is an… app with the single purpose to provide access to a catalog of over 1200 movies and television shows from the last 100 years. We have fully catalogued these movies including fully-searchable information on directors, actors, writers, and more. We also hunted down the cover art for a truly awesome experience.
And while the iPad Movie Vault app has been available for a few months, folks with iOS 4 iPhones have been sitting waiting patiently for their turn. Well, that wait is over. You see, the iPhone version of Movie Vault is now available. And since the iPhone is smaller, the price is smaller too. Or maybe there’s another reason for having a lower price, but I’m sticking with my previous statement.
So if you’ve got an iPhone or iPad and you like classic cinema, give these one of these Portland apps a shot.
