While we’re all well aware of how much attention the mobile platform is attracting for app developers and service providers, marketing and advertising adoption of the platform seems to be lagging.
But is that really the case? And how long will it be before the advertising industry catches up?
That’s the question Mobile Portland hopes to answer, tonight (Monday) at 6PM.
Despite the massive growth in usage of mobile devices, mobile marketing is still a small percentage of the total marketing budgets of most companies. eMarketer found that Americans spend 8.1% of their media time on mobile devices, but mobile only represents 0.5% of the total advertising spend.
So mobile marketing remains under the radar, but not for long.
Join Jeff Lorton, Co-Founder, LynkSnap; George Kurtyka, Head of Entertainment Partnerships and Business Development, Nokia; Sean Roy, Founder Matua Media, co-Founder DialogHealth; and Daniel Timothy Wood, Digital Strategy Director, tenfour [Daniel is ill], for a discussion about the future of mobile marketing—and how it will affect the platform.
