It’s no secret that Portland has an awesome independent music scene. So it only makes sense that a Portland startup would find a better way to help those musicians promote their shows and sell tickets to concerts.
Introducing TIXIE.
TIXIE provides comprehensive, up-to-date show listings and lets fans decide for themselves what info they want to see – filtered by artist, genre, venue or other criteria. Entering to win tickets for a hot show takes just a single click. TIXIE builds community by making it simple for fans to let their friends know about the shows they’re going to see and the ones they’ve recently enjoyed. All of the TIXIE benefits are equally available on the desktop or iPhone.
They’re growing rapidly. Expanding from a small team to 17 employees in the last year. And they just closed funding to continue that growth. (The press release didn’t specify how much funding, but I have a query into the company.)
For more information, visit TIXIE or read the press release on the funding. Feeling social? You can follow @tixie on Twitter or like TIXIE on Facebook.
