Time for startups to TiE one on: TiE Oregon PitchFest, this Thursday, June 14

If there’s one thing I can never get enough of, it’s pitch practice. Getting in front of a crowd and telling your story is the one thing startups should be doing again and again and again. And that’s why things like the TiE Oregon PitchFest are awesome.

Venture outside the core of the city and you’ll get the opportunity to watch a bunch of awesome startups pitch their idea to a panel that includes Sam Blackman of Elemental, Diane Fraiman of Voyager Capital, Steve Eichenlaub of Intel Capital, and Ashok Rao of Whodini (and the Global Chairman of TiE).

What’s more, there are prizes for the best presentation and the best idea.

Each winner will receive $500 from TiE Oregon, $2000 worth of legal services from Charter Member Steve Davis (Davis Wright and Tremaine) and $600 worth of legal services from Charter Member Gina Atwood (Immix Law Group.) Two months free rent at the TiE Westide Incubator sponsored by Melvin Mark will be given to winners who qualify to be admitted into the incubator.

… come and watch entrepreneurs pitching their companies and ideas, meet Charter Members, investors, CEO stars, and have a productive time networking with fellow entrepreneurs before the summer holidays.

Can’t make the event? Well, that’s unfortunate. Because we’d love to see you. But you can still watch online, thanks to Brandlive.

So head on out to Hillsboro on Thursday night. Or head to your laptop. Either way. Just don’t miss TiE PitchFest, Thursday, June 14 at 6PM.
