Meet locally, win globally: Social media focused SoMe Awards expands program to include SoMe Forum

Now in its sixth year, the SoMe Awards—one of the premier events recognizing social media efforts—has expanded its Portland-based event to include both a little education and a little entertainment for the social media minded. The 2014 SoMe Awards includes the SoMe Forum, an afternoon of discussions with social media thought leaders.

We’re putting together an outstanding line-up of experts to discuss the newest innovations in Social Media. We’ve confirmed our keynote speakers, Pam Slim of escapefromcubiclenation.com and BRIAN SOLIS, our Hall of Fame award winner for 2014.The half-day forum will kick-off about 1pm on May 22nd and include two one-hour keynotes, presentations by the SoMe award finalists and panel presentations with several industry thought-leaders. The SoMe Awards 2014 will take place that evening after a brief break for dinner.

And just like previous years, the SoMe Awards also have, well, awards.

The SoMe Awards honors the best social media campaigns by marketing agencies, in-house teams and freelancers from across the U.S. After five wildly successful events we are back for another round. Winners in 11 categories will be announced by our emcee Stephanie Stricklen of KGW News.

The events take place on May 22, 2014. Tickets are still available. SoMe Forum is priced at $85. The SoMe Awards are $40. Or you can attend both events for $99.
