For the past four years, TechfestNW—an event designed to both showcase interesting tech in Pacific Northwest and attract folks from outside of the region—has been joined at the hip with its much larger and longer running compatriot, MusicfestNW. But this year, that’s all changing. Five year old TFNW is stepping out on its own. And earlier in the year to boot.
That’s right. This year, TFNW will take place April 25-26, hosted at the Armory in the Pearl. And it’s got a decidedly “come visit Portland vibe” this year.
Don’t believe me? Just listen.
You already know it’s the craft beer capital of the world; the Washington Post calls it “the best food city in America”, and our coffee is second to none. We’re home to the biggest names in sportswear (Nike, Columbia Sportswear, adidas), our tech industry is thriving and our environmental record and legal cannabis make us one of the greenest cities in America. Oh, you’re also a short drive away from the striking mountains, forests and rivers of the Pacific Northwest.
Come to TechfestNW for our incredible city, stay for our burgeoning tech industry.
Two day passes are available for $119. Which also likely provides access to parties and other activities surrounding the event.
Looking to get even more engaged? The date isn’t the only thing new this year. TFNW is also offering something new, designed specifically for startups. They’re calling it PitchfestNW. And it’s an opportunity for startups to share their stories with the TFNW crowd. Applying to pitch at the event—complete with the chance to talk to potential investors—is free. But if you’re looking for more exposure for your company, there’s the opportunity to purchase demo space as well.
Sound interesting? Applications for PitchfestNW are due March 4, 2016.
