Jive cofounder launches new AI enabled healthcare startup

For many of us, Jive was the epoch defining company of the startup community we have in Portland — and throughout the state — today. Jive thought big. They attracted capital from well-known venture capital firms like Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins. They attracted a ton of super talented folks. They grew rapidly and made acquisitions. And eventually, they went public. All proving that a company growing in the Portland area had the potential to do all of those things. So forgive me if I’m a wee bit twitterpated by the fact that Jive cofounder Bill Lynch is re-entering the startup world.

Pioneering coworking space NedSpace celebrates 15 years of supporting local entrepreneurs

It may be difficult to understand in our post-WeWork world, but coworking wasn’t always a thing. Or a readily accepted concept. But there were a few brave souls who were early to understanding the potential of gathering entrepreneurs and creatives in a shared space to work alongside one another. One of those pioneers was Portland coworking NedSpace, which has now remained true to that vision for 15 years.
