He's back… Well sort of: Justin Kistner joins ShopIgniter as Senior Director of Strategy

If you’ve been around the Portland startup scene for a while, you likely have memories—perhaps somewhat hazy memories—of Beer and Blog, a weekly gathering of startup types that started as bloggers helping bloggers over beer. It was the brainchild of Justin Kistner.

And while we lost Justin’s talents to the bright lights, big city appeal of the Bay Area a few years back, we’re slowly working our way back into his heart, it appears. He just took a new gig with Portland’s ShopIgniter as the Senior Director of Strategy.

Kistner will build and drive ShopIgniter’s client advisory service, counseling brands on how to best apply paid media to their ShopIgniter rich media post campaigns. And, with over a dozen years’ experience in digital media, Moore will be responsible for development and execution of consultative sales strategies, aligning ShopIgniter’s social + mobile solutions with client and partner business goals.

For now, Justin will continue to call San Francisco home. But we’ll be doing our best to change that.

For more information, see the ShopIgniter press release.

  1. Congrats, Justin! Great hire for ShopIgnitor.

  2. Nice to be back in the city, even if it’s only a few days out of the month. It feels a bit like home to be commenting on Silicon Florist. It’s been too long and I’ve been too estranged. Not anymore 🙂

  3. Well, glad to hear Justin is back in the fold of PDX in one way or another. Welcome home-ish J… Can’t wait to see you more.

Oh, and good job ShopIgniter… 🙂

  4. Good for you, Justin! Nice to see you back in PDX, even if it is only a few days at a time.
