With so many distributed teams, it’s really difficult to define a “Portland startup” these days. But if a cofounder lives here, then I’m going to call it “local.” Such is the case with Streamdal, a startup whose cofounder and CTO calls Portland home. And somewhere else they’re calling home today is Product Hunt. Where they’ve been in the top 10 trending startups all day.

Overlapping events. Good problem to have. And a sign that the activity in the Portland startup community is starting to pick up. That’s why I’m happy to share that there are two happy hours this Friday that may be of interest to startup and tech types. To further the intrigue, one is eastside and one is westside.

It will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone that I’m a fan of side hustles. Or as I like to call them… “hobbies.” Since I’m rarely pursuing them for financial reasons.
