Ah late May in Portland. The February Fakeout is a long distant waterlogged memory. And even though we got a few days of awesomeness over the long weekend, any plans you had to anything outside have likely been dashed at this point. So why not join Portland types and WordPress for its 10th Anniversary? Read More

Rumor: WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg will be at Beer and Blog

But this one falls into the “fairly certain” category. And since I’m convinced that Portland loves WordPress and beer almost as much as it loves Chappelle I’m going with it: Matt Mullenweg—none other than the guy who created WordPress—will be at Beer and Blog, this Friday. Read More

WordCamp Portland: WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg to field questions

I don’t need to tell you (but I will anyway): Portland loves open source. But do you know what we love even more than that? Open source founders.

We proudly proclaim Portland the home of the creator of Linux, Linus Torvalds—and of course his four impersonators come late September. And having Rasmus Lerdorf, the founder of PHP, here in town for Open Source Bridge was quite a coup.

And now, we have another open source founder to add to the list. Thanks to WordCamp Portland, WordPress creator Matt Mullenweg will be visiting Portland in September. Read More
