It doesn’t matter what you’re doing or how awesome it is. Funding is difficult. That’s why I’m always intrigued by folks finding different ways to raise capital to bring their dreams to life. So I was super excited to see my favorite kids’ science show—The Fab Lab with Crazy Aunt Lindsey—looking to our community to help support the next season of production.
Kids are naturally curious. And giving them outlets to express and explore that curiosity can be amazing opportunities for them. That’s why I wanted to make sure that you were aware that Crazy Aunt Lindsey currently has an open casting call for The Fab Lab.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said a million times: PitchBlack is the best pitch event in Portland. So many amazing founders. And so many amazing pitches. This year was the most competitive of all, With 12 folks standing up and pitching their hearts out. But when the crowd’s votes were counted, one effort stood out as the clear winner: The Fab Lab with Crazy Aunt Lindsey.
Any number of you have had the misfortune of being stuck in a room, listening to me babble about my opinions on the Portland startup community. It happens. And yes, you feel uncomfortable getting up and walking out. I get it. But for whatever reason, I still get invited to talk about Portland startup stuff on a regular basis.
