You’re building an awesome company. And to continue to do that, you need awesome talent. But you’re a startup. So you need to make the most of every dollar. Trust me. I totally get it. That’s why I’m getting in on the whole Cyber Monday craze and giving you a ridiculous discount on the Silicon Florist job board.
As the year draws to a close, we’re seeing a bunch of folks motivated by change. Changing locations, changing roles, or changing careers completely. Luckily, there are a bevy of interesting Portland companies standing by with new roles to help make those transitions easier.
Truth be told, I can’t even spell entrepreneurship. (I used spellcheck for that.) But there are many folks who can. Among them, there are even a few who understand all the ups and downs of the rollercoaster that is starting a business. And among them, are a select few who recognize and understand the potential impact government can have on startup ecosystems. And Business Oregon wants to talk to those folks.
It’s getting to be that time of year. That time when you start looking back on what you’ve accomplished. And start looking forward to what you want to be doing in the future. Where you assess your progress. And set some new goals for yourself…. Or maybe I’m just overthinking it and you’re just tired of your current job. Or your current town. Or whatever.
We continue to see new companies starting up in Portland. New companies expanding into Portland. And some even choosing to relocate their headquarters here. But be they homegrown or imports, in the startup world, everyone still seems to be hiring. And even a few established corporations are getting in on the action.
Now that the eclipse stuff has calmed down and you’re (hopefully) no longer sitting in traffic, I thought it might be a good time to remind you about all of the awesome companies who are hiring in Portland right now. And all of the awesome people—like more than 100 of them—who are looking for gigs in the Portland startup community.
While you can safely bet that startups will always complain about two things—lack of capital and lack of talent—it’s completely true that the Oregon job market is exceptionally tight, as of late. And hiring talent can be even more challenging than it has been in the past.
I don’t know if you heard this, but apparently *looks around* Portland is seen as a hotbed for talent. No really. I swear. Talented people keep moving here. Awesome companies keep starting here. Already amazing companies open up offices here. It happens on a daily basis. Now if only there were a way to better connect all of that talent and all of those companies…
