In July of last year, a couple of folks put together ThePortlander, a site designed to deliver a broad range of news for residents of the Portland metropolitan area.

When it comes to blogging about Portland, there are well known individuals like Bojack and Dave knows Portland. And well know topic blogs like Food Carts Portland, Portland Food and Drink, and Bike Portland. And, of course, there are some great news sources in town that cover all the Portland happenings.

What’s Earthtechling? It’s a new Portland-based site that’s designed to cover everything happening at the intersection of gadgets and green.

If there’s one thing we like in Portland, it’s the whole sustainable and green movement. If there’s another thing we like, it’s the whole shiny technology object thing.
